13X packing is generally recommended for the analysis of carbon monoxide, especially at trace concentrations, because lower retention will lead to sharper chromatographic peaks and lower detection limits.



The symmetry of the carbon monoxide peak is excellent, indicating that the packing and column tube are inert. The packed column with high quality molecular sieve and Silcosteel treated column tube is the best choice for trace analysis of oxygen, carbon monoxide and other components that are difficult to separate.
