Therefore, it is necessary to strictly regulate the sampling methods for exhaust gas from fixed pollution sources and increase the accuracy of monitoring results from fixed pollution sources. At the same time, by comparing the definitions and existing methods of NMHC and VOCs, a detailed analysis was conducted on their relationship and numerical differences under the same conditions. The results showed that due to the differences in characteristic pollutants in different industries, the proportion of effective carbon mass concentration presented by the two is not consistent. In addition, NMHC based on FID response values cannot accurately and comprehensively reflect the degree of organic pollution in the air, and may mask certain organic pollutants in the exhaust gas.
