Tenax - is a porous polymer based on 2,6-diphenylfuran (2,6-diphenylene oxide), used for extracting volatile and semi volatile substances generated by air, liquid, and solid blowing. EPA and NIOSH have adopted this method as a standard analytical method for analyzing VOC components, which can detect volatile organic compounds at ppb or ppt levels using thermal analysis or blowing capture devices. Due to its low affinity for water, it is more suitable for blowing and capturing volatile organic compounds from high water content, and even for analyzing volatile organic compounds in water.
