Method principle
This method completes the determination of acetaldehyde through the following steps:
Sampling: Use a 1% sodium bisulfite (NaHSO3) solution as the absorbent to enrich and collect acetaldehyde in the exhaust gas. Acetaldehyde undergoes nucleophilic addition reaction with sodium bisulfite to form stable alpha hydroxy sulfonate in neutral solution.
Sample release: The collected sample is co heated in a dilute alkaline solution, causing the addition products to react in reverse and release the original acetaldehyde.
Separation and determination: The released acetaldehyde is introduced into a gas chromatograph, separated by a 20% PEG-20M/GCS880 AW DMCS column, and detected by a hydrogen flame ionization detector (FID).
