Determination of hydrogen and helium content
4.4.1 Method: Use a gas chromatograph equipped with a thermal conductivity detector to determine hydrogen and helium in neon. GB/T 17873-1999
4.4.2 Detection limit: hydrogen; 0.5 x10-6(V/V), Helium: 10 x10-6, (V/V)
4.4.3 Instrument parameters
4.4.3.1 Chromatographic Column: Use a particle size of for chromatographic analysis. Install TDX with a diameter of 0.25-0.40mm into a stainless steel tube with an inner diameter of 4mm and a length of approximately 6m, and activate it with dry bath hydrogen gas at 300 ℃ for 6 hours. Alternatively, use an equivalent chromatographic column.
4.4.3. 2 carrier gases: high-purity hydrogen with a flow rate of 40-60m L/min, purified to a impurity content approximately one quantity lower than that of the tested component

44.3.3 Temperature: The detector and column temperature are both at room temperature.
4.4.4 Standard Samples
Neon containing (5-10) x10-6 (V/V) hydrogen, neon containing (50-150) x 10-6, (V/V) helium.
4.4.5 Operation steps:
4.4.5.1 Inject standard sample with gas injection valve, record retention time and peak area or peak height.
