Ethylene and propylene, as the most basic raw materials in petrochemical production, are mainly used to produce resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene. During the polymerization reaction, trace amounts of nitrous oxide in the raw materials can cause the catalyst to lose its activity, affecting the purity and performance of the product, and causing economic losses to the production enterprise. Therefore, accurate detection of trace amounts of nitrous oxide gas is crucial for ensuring product quality.
When determining trace nitrous oxide (N ₂ O) in ethylene and propylene for polymerization, Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. used GC790MS gas chromatography-mass spectrometry technology.
