二、性质：
苯是一种无色、透明、易挥发的液体，有芳香气味。沸点80.1℃，相对密度0.8787，闪点10～12℃，有强折光性，折光率1.5016(20℃)。本品能与乙醇、乙醚、丙酮、氯仿、二硫化碳及乙酸等任意混合，微溶于水。该产品有一定的毒性，易燃、其蒸汽与空气形成爆炸性混合物，爆炸极限1.5～8.0%(体积分数)。
三、生产方法：
由加氢裂解汽油和催化重整液中抽提、分馏而得，也可由甲苯歧化脱甲基制苯。
四、用途：
石油苯是基本化工原料，主要用于生产苯乙烯、环乙烷、苯酚、苯胺、硝基苯、合成洗涤剂及农药等，还可作为油漆涂料及农药的溶剂。

Benzene is a colorless, transparent, and volatile liquid with an aromatic odor. Boiling point 80.1 ℃, relative density 0.8787, flash point 10-12 ℃, strong refractive index 1.5016 (20 ℃). This product can be mixed with ethanol, ether, acetone, chloroform, Carbon disulfide, acetic acid, etc. It is slightly soluble in water. The product is toxic, flammable, and its vapor forms an explosive mixture with air. The Flammability limit is 1.5~8.0% (volume fraction).
3、 Production method:
It is obtained by extraction and fractionation of hydrogenation Pyrolysis gasoline and Catalytic reforming liquid, and it can also be produced by disproportionation and demethylation of toluene.
4、 Purpose:
Petroleum benzene is a basic chemical raw material mainly used in the production of styrene, cyclohexane, phenol, aniline, nitrobenzene, synthetic detergents and pesticides, and can also be used as a solvent for paint coatings and pesticides.
