The determination of formic acid purity in the national standard uses physical and chemical titration, which is complex, time-consuming, labor-intensive, environmentally unfriendly, inefficient, and cannot meet the needs of industrial production testing, thus limiting its use.
The traditional gas chromatography method uses esterification conversion method, which requires a large amount of reagents and has conversion rate issues, resulting in large quantitative errors.
To this end, Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. has developed a new technology called "Industrial Formic Acid Purity Determination New Technology Chromatographic Column" using a new method. It can directly inject samples to determine the purity of industrial formic acid without the need for sample conversion, with high efficiency and short analysis time. It has been installed and used on instruments such as Agilent, Shimadzu, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Varian, Brooke, and PE, and has achieved good results.
