1,2-丙二醇，化学式为C3H8O2，是一种无色黏稠液体，常态下近乎无味，细闻却微甜。它广泛用于 食品加工中，作为稳定剂、凝固剂、抗结剂等多功能添加剂。在生湿面制品中， 少量的丙二醇能防止其干燥，赋予其光泽，并保持其新鲜稳定；而在糕点中，它则能吸收空气中的水分，防止糕点硬化，起到保湿和抗冻的作用。

This standard came into effect on January 25, 2013.
This standard is applicable to the food additive propylene glycol prepared by direct hydration method using epichlorohydrin and water as raw materials.
1,2-propanediol, with the chemical formula C3H8O2, is a colorless viscous liquid that is almost odorless under normal conditions, but slightly sweet when smelled. It is widely used in food processing as a multifunctional additive such as stabilizer, coagulant, and anti caking agent. In wet dough products, a small amount of propylene glycol can prevent it from drying, give it luster, and maintain its freshness and stability; In pastries, it can absorb moisture from the air, prevent the pastry from hardening, and provide moisture and frost resistance.
